Do you know about the Texas 2 x 2’s? Have you ever wondered what they are all about? The Texas Library Association sponsors the 2 x 2 reading list. This list of 20 books are for ages 2 through 2nd grade.
Get a head start on 2010 and start reading the 2010 list.
Once your child completes a book, they need to turn in the appropriate form to verify that they have read it. Please remember to hang onto your 2010 forms until the beginning of next school year!

Not to worry...we have something for our 3rd and 4th graders too. They’re our Tumbleweeds. They are basically the same as the 2 x 2s with a minor exception. Rather than filling out a form, they are asked to take the reading counts quiz on each book. That will allow us to verify that they have read the book. Click below for the 2010 Brockett Tumbleweed list.
We know that you cannot take reading counts quizzes in the summer, so we’ve got another idea. Click here for the form to download and fill out as you finish a book. The form only counts towards completing the tumbleweed list and does not award any reading counts points.
